I'm going to have a look tomorrow. Erm, the car should tell you its real name upon completion of the purchase, but should indicate its production origin during the test drive and under-bonnet caressing. I think you've got a defective Saab - it told you its name, but not where it was produced, eh? Perhaps the plant of origin sender has failed? In the event of such a failure (for which I know no mechanical fix), you can check the following link: http://www.auto.msk.ru/auto/saab_vin.htm The 11th digit should indicate the plant of origin. Hoping for a Swede, Carl? I'm picking up my beast with the new "go faster phoosh noise" tomorrow - and some other "enhancements" :)) There was a lovely metallic grey '84 900 T16 (with a whale tail) in the garage when I arrived. I thought of Behemoth and mourned for my old flat nose - it's a great model. The other car there was an early 90s black 900 T16 (again, whale tail) - it's nice to pull into a garage like that :) Paul 1989 900 Turbo S http://saab.go.dyndns.org/
