Most modern cars are injected and have engine management systems, this is likely to give less problems. The system adjust to the various conditions and Saab's Trionic system even cleans the spark plugs. The turbo increases the efficiency of the engine, hence saves petrol for ordinary daily driving. As you can see from this ng, there are many vintage turbo Saabs out there going very well. My own 1993 9000 CSE 2.0 LTP is still in top condition. I can see that it's a worry to buy secondhand, you always think of the reason for sale and indeed it's often because something is not working well and repairs are around the corner. But don't panic, make an assessment of what needs to be done and budget for initial repairs, it's not the end of the world. Johannes > Regards > Emmanuel
