If its cracked then theres structual damage to the wheel. I agree that just sliming the crack is unsafe, as it doesn't fix the crack which makes the whole car a safety hazard waiting to happen. However, I wonder if some of the mag-wheel straightening companies out there have a way to repair, rather than replace, a cracked aluminum wheel. I wouldn't go to Joe's Garage on the corner for this, I'd have someone who can certify the repair do it. But...still might be bettter to just replace the darn thing, unless whoever fixes it is very experienced with exactly what you need. "Yeah, I can give it a try" would be a bad phrase to hear in this situation. Dave Hinz
