This is exactly how it is done. The fuel pressure over the injectors is regulated by the fuel pressure regulator so the volume that flows through an injector is directly proportional to the time the injector is open. The fuel consumption is calculated from the time the fuel injectors are open and the distance travelled. > Even more so because that would mean that switched to LPG, the > computer would get erratic values... Perhaps the LPG conversion hardware generates fake "injector open" signals to the EDU? Does the fuel consumption as displayed by the EDU make any sense at all in LPG mode? How is fuel consumption in a LPG car shown? l/100km, mpg, mm^2? Does a shown consumption of 10 l/100km correspond to a consumption of 10 l of liquid gas each 100 km? > PS: reading through another thread (that is already purged from my > newsfile) I saw someone mentioning a part called a "DI casette" > Not known in my vocab yet. What's that? DI is "Direct Ignition" and the DI cassette is the red (on Trionic 5 cars like the 9000) or black (on Trionic 7 cars like the 9-5) "thing" that sits directly above the spark plugs in the engine head. The cassette contains the electronics needed to fire the spark plugs and also use the spark plugs as sensors to sense the state of the combustion. -- G–ran Larsson http://www.nospam.com/
