Salutations: Been looking into something similar here for a bit.. You need to do a complete swap of the engine management systems in addition to adding the clutch system.. While someone who really knows their stuff can outline all the controllers and wiring specific to the gig it - may - be cheaper to simpler to sit there and replace harness for harness and complete drive train for complete drive train from the intake manifold in.. Assuming you own both cars - you can do a lot of this yourself weekends.. I gather you'll want to look at solid rubber engine mounts and you will need to make sure the drive shafts are carried over and rebuilt.. -- J Dexter - webmaster - http://www.dexterdyne.org/ all tunes - no cookies no subscription no weather no ads no news no phone in - RealAudio 8+ Required - all the Time Radio Free Dexterdyne Top Tune o'be-do-da-day Tim Tamashiro - Be My Lifes Companion http://www.dexterdyne.org/888/164.RAM wysiwyg.docnopsamspring.com wrote: > > i have an 87 9000t 5 speed > and an 88 9000t automatic > can i take the engine and tranny out of the 87 and put it into the 88. > if so what are the points of concern. > thanks for your input.
