Subject: Charging and othe voltages

i do not know how accurate the voltmeter is in the edu (Saab 9000S 1992) but the voltage displayed immediately after starting is about 9.2 to 9.4. Isn't this very low? Another phenomenon: The voltmeter used to display 14.0 to 14.5 frequently while running around town. A week or so ago I ran the battery down( left the fog lights on when I shutdown) and got a jump start. It has run all right since then but I am seeing much lower voltages: say 13.7 or 13.8. Anyone have an explanation? Does this presage a problem? Malcolm
