Subject: 94 9000 Aero--Your thoughts please

I'm looking to replace my 89 900s (175k), and just drove this Turbo Aero. Very good condition, some minor dings and scratches. Leather interior very good. 133K, Black, 5 speed, 4-door hatchback. Concerns: Something(s) is knocking/thumping in the front end. My dealer--from whom I bought my 900S and have a good relationship--says this will be fixed. Still--this makes me a bit nervous and wonder if this is a weakness for this model? Also--This car has tremendous power and solid, confident handling on smooth roads. On rougher country roads, however, it gets fairly rough. You really feel the road, to say the least--not a Cadillac. I assume this is normal for the sportier suspension and 16" wheels on this Aero? Not really a problem since my 900S has a similar characteristic--preferred to excessive luxury mushiness like some Hondas I've recently test driven. Dealer wants $8500. I may be able to get it for $7500--maybe. Opinions on this car? Other posts to this group are generally positive with some caveats, but looking for your latest input. Thanks guys, Dave
