The lower of the two pipes on the PVS valve connects to the distributor vac line by way of a t-piece and goes to the throttle housing before the throttle plate. I'm sure my '88 went direct to the throttle housing, but there is only one port on the throttle housing for a vac pipe to connect to. I take it that as a test, I can "disable" the EGR system by blocking off the pipe that runs to the throttle housing and running a single vac pipe (without the t-piece) from the distributor to the throttle housing?
