Renault once had a TV advertising campaign for a > "cute" Renault 5: "What's your's called". It made me cringe and definitely > avoid Renaults. It's personal - I do develop an emotional bond to my cars, however not as strong as to start calling them names (affectionate or otherwise :). But I understand people treating their cars like living beings. Especially if they don't have kids nor pets. There were two cases in which I looked at my car and thought: "Thanks for not letting me down". Once a water pump broke on Saturday night during a trip to my homeland on All Saints. It was quite cold (-5 deg. C) and windy with occasional showers. In clouds of steam from the cooling we barely managed to reach a bar on the top of the hill. It turned out it was the only bar equipped with CB radio between Kielce and Tarnow (100 km), and they managed to call the only service open at this time - only 17 km away. The second case was when my VW coughed and didn't start the next day - the only time I managed to run the tank dry. It happened while I was parking in my lot... -- Regards, Wojciech Setlak
