Subject: Re: Knocking in front left wheel question

Hmm, great ideas, everyone. As far as the springs are concerned, there had been an internal tech bulletin from Saab that alluded to the orientation and a "shaving" of the rubber spring seat. This corrected the "spongy sound whenever the front end compressed. I have asked them about the CV joint even before the car was modified as it did this then also. The response was that the CV was within tolerances. Perhaps this time they might modify it. It all seem to come from that one side - go figure. When the weather is a little coldish (read: near 0 Celsius), the right side make a rubbery rubbing sound when turning. This has to be strut tower related, even though the two struts had been replaced under warranty before they located the tech bulletin mentioned earlier. I have an appointment on the 10th of June where I offered to let them keep it for two days to figure this out. have already bugged them enough that they might actually change the CV this time. The car only has 35,000 kilometer - this is nothing for a SAAB, hardly broken in compared to some other on the newsgroup. This dealer is quite good perhaps the best compared to the other ones in Toronto (Canada) Thank you everyone. I will repost as more develops, but please keep those suggestions coming. -Spyderman <'nuther Bob> wrote in message news:8ol4cvk5pn6vbu6ogo9imuolvb1lnkhn5nnopsamcom... > On Wed, 14 May 2003 02:15:02 GMT, "Spyderman" > <buzzoffnopsamfyourbusiness.com> wrote: > > >Hi, > > > >I have an MY2001 9-3 SE (Aero in Europe).
