Subject: Re: B type engine question (900 turbo <81)

Ok, thanks all very much for the reactions, very helpfull.. So if I get this right the mountings to the bodyframe are the same, the connections to the exhaust/gearbox etc aswell. I have several options depending on the fuel-system (If I remember correctly the car has an injection system (without APC)). 1: If the car has a carburator I just buy an engine with inlet and outlet manifolds and the carburator. 2: If it is indeed an injection I can buy an H type engine and use my own inlet and outlet manifolds and keep my current fuel-system. I do have to check if the inlet manifold fits (outlet manifold does?). 3: I buy an engine with inlet and outlet manifolds and the complete injection system. Ok still some questions left: -I was planning on buying the engine with gearbox, I guess the mounting of the gearbox will also be the same? -With option 3 what parts do I need to replace; if I read the workshop manual correct the control unit for the injection can also control some other systems like APC. -Is all equipment attached to the engine compatible or do I have to make sure I get it with the engine (startermotor/alternator/waterpump etc?)
