Last I heard (a few weeks ago) they were still trying to make enough to coils to catch up with the required replacements. Some folks were losing their cars for weeks due to a lack of supply. VW has the problem, I don't think BMW has it as severely. In any event, whatever they "fix" will probably just make them last the usual 65-80K miles that other cars go before one or more fails. Bob
