Subject: Rainsensor on 9-3 sport sedan

Hi all, My 9-3 sport sedan is equipped with a rain sensor, intended to automatically adjust the interval setting of the windscreen wipers when the system is activated by pushing the handle to the 'auto' position. The system can be set to 'High, medium and low sensitivity' In practice, 'high' tends to make the wipers appear somewhat 'histerical' when it really starts raining; the wipers wipe like mad; set to 'medium' however, they stop wiping at all when driving rather slow in a drizzle. Because there is no 'normal' interval switch you will need to wipe 'manually' (by switching off the automatic system and pushing the handle down when visibility gets low) or change the setting of the system via the customization of the SID, which is rather a lot of work while driving and not really safe because you have to take your attention off the traffic. Is there anayone with the same experience, is there something wrong with the factory settings of my system and does it need calibration by the dealer? Any information/experiences on this subject would be appreciated....... So far it is the only thing 'not perfect' on the car.... Regards, Tom
