Bought a set of four, had one inexplicably blow apart (at 45 mph, smooth pavement) after six months, about 5k miles. I don't think I ever touched a curb with them, but I can't swear to it (my wife does drive the car occasionally). Purchased a new pair to for replacement, but at around 13k another one developed an irritating wobble, along with a wierd, faint kind of creaking noise (hard to describe). The only tires I've ever had that I would call defective. I also was running them at 42 lbs for the first few months, but after experimenting I decided they ran smoother, quieter, and with just as much if not more traction if I reduced them to 35 lbs. I've since replaced them with Bridgestone S-03's, hands down the best performance tire I've ever run with, especially in the wet. They wear pretty quickly, however, if that's a factor for you.
