Surely the 9000 is very similar in consumption to the 900. Most two litre lumps do about the same. The best I've had out of my various 900s (turbo and non-turbo) is just over 37 MPG, but never over 40 MPG. I thought at first it was a fluke and I must've given it 10 UKP worth in a panic on the motorway (higher fuel prices and all) without noting the amount put in, but I have repeated that near as damn it a few times on a straight 70 MPH run for 100+ miles. The usual is around 25 MPG, which I gather is quite good. Any lower and I start to look for problems and usually find the odd one here and there. It's a very useful indicator. Maybe the eBay seller meant to the kilometre? I'd be interested in hearing Johannes' figures now he has been challenged. I've always hankered after a 9000, say a CSE LPT auto.
