Oh, I see - I misunderstood your question (thought you were asking whether to swap engines or not). On a C900, pulling the tranny can only be achieved with the engine out (I've heard of someone who does it engine in, but you still have to unbolt the engine mounts to get enough clearance, so not worth it IMHO). I always pull engine and tranny, and separate on the bench. This will give you great access to the whole engine, for all those little jobs you should do while you're there (both crank seals, oil pump, etc.) BTW, did I mention: **make sure you remove the clutch before removing the engine/tranny from the car!** HTH -- Grunff
