Subject: Rear Shock Removal and Installation Problems 1988 900

I am trying to replace the rear shock absorbers on my 1988 SAAB 900. After removing upper and lower bolts and removing the training arm to provide more room, I had a great deal of difficulty removing the old shock absorber. It was jammed hard in the lower mount. Now I cant get the new shock absorber to line up with the lower bolt hole, it is very tight in the mounting. I have check the size of the replacement shock and everything is the same as the old one. Any ideas on why the lower mount is so tight or how to line up the lower bush with the bolt hole. Regards Brad
