Very small increase in noise level, but I like that. Purchase the Saab sports exhaust. It removes the center muffler as part of the design. It's all stainless, I doubt you will be replacing it again in the life of the car. You get plenty of growl. I actually reinstalled the center muffler on mine after installing the sports exhaust (some custom work req'd) because I thought it was too aggressive - but I have a convertible and you hear a lot more of what happens out back with the top down. You can get it from Saab $400 (of course) or try sportscarservice.com or eeuroparts.com (note double ee in name). Sportcarssevice has an unusable web site - just call them on the phone. Last I checked they were getting about $230 for it. Bob
