The last election only highlights the issues. Agreed, the system is broken. If it's going to be used at all, then the delegates should be selected based on the vote in their own district. Some states already have started working towards it - not being an "all or none" is a reasonable first step, gets things going in the right direction, and gets rid of the most glaring flaw in that system. Fact is, however, as long as it's the law of the land, campaigns will be run accordingly, strategies will be made based on it, and so on. If the electoral college was more representative, or didn't exist at all for the last election, well, who knows. Campaigning strategies would have likely been very different. I think it's impossible to guess how or if it would have changed the outcome. Dave Hinz
