Making the assumption that the system is a simple float producing an analog voltage which then goes to electronics to run the gauge (or has a regulated supply to the float and thence to the gauge). You have the following possibilities, or any mixture of them. 1) the voltage to the float/gauge combination is off... 2) the sensor (float) is off 3) the gauge is off Given that the electronics is at least looking at the float to determine the refuel light, and that the DTE is also affected. 3) should be changed by replacing gauge....(they did that) 2) they changed that one, too... 1) this is possible, but I don't know where it comes from... Can be measured easily. comments: A) the gauge can be turned on and off in night mode... possible that there's a hangup there. Don't know what they replaced when the SID was changed out. B) Don't know where the regulated voltage comes from for the sensor, so don't know if that has been changed. C) possibly the wiring and connectors.. those can go to a higher resistance, and can really mess things up... Note that you should check the connections anywhere the system ties in to the fuel sensor, gauge, and computer.... (probably DICE, if I guess right.... Did they change that? something to think of...., or clean the connections...) Other than that, I'm just guessing based on what I *think* the car is wired like.... Of course, since I have no schematic... that's what I"m doing any way.... Hope that this is of some help. Harvey (2000 9-5 no problems yet (off lease car)) > >Dieter, GE >
