Is this middle armrest for the back seat? I have heard that in England, they have a two hand law - two hands must be on the steering wheel, except when you are shifting. This kind of covers the "distracted" driving problem because how can you hold a drink and/or cell phone in your hand and still keep two hands on the steering wheel. This law could make armrests for the driver a decorative item.
