Well...disk brakes squeak.  Are you using Saab pads, or aftermarket?
Also, did they tell you about putting goop on the back of the pads to
cut down on the squeeeeeeeek?  It helps, sometimes eliminates it entirely.

Normal as in "It's not unheard of to have happen, and it doesn't 
indicate a real problem", yes.  Normal as in "They all do it", no way.
