As long as I was sitting on the driver's seat with the seatbelt disconnected, the engine would stop. If I got off the seat, the engine would start. Luckily, I was near my favorite mechanic's shop and was able to drive to it and lean out the window for him to come disconnect the battery while I ballasted the driver's seat.
