Subject: 99 9-5 Wagon Stalls and Sputters after Service

The day after getting my 1999 9-5 wagon back from its 60,000 mile service, it would stall once or twice per day when stopped at a red light or when gliding to a stop. While driving on highways, the engine seemed to seize up momentarily and frequently, as if there is water or something in the fuel line (I confess I know little about cars). I brought it back, but the dealer seems stumped. They are talking about replacing some $450 part as the only candidate. They aren't rushing to do so, but they don't have any other ideas right now. So, I'm turning here for ideas. It seems to me that the problem would be more tied to the service than a suddenly defective part. But, I don't know what could have happened during the service to cause this (a gap in the vacuum hose? a problem in the bypass valve?). If you have any ideas on what this could be, please share them. Thanks, Gary
