FWIW: Friday's Wall Street Journal article about the '04 9-3 Convertible, listed the following: Saab sales record for the USA: 47,414 cars in 1986. 20% of all Saabs sold are convertibles. Saab USA expects to sell 9,500 convertibles in model year '04 (+15% compared to '03/'02/'01).
