Subject: Re: New 9-3 Handling?

Surprising. I am pretty sure I read the one in C&D and IIRC, it was a pretty glowing review of handling. I did not read MT nor do I ever. I really find it hard to believe that they are allowed to say anything less than stellar about any car they review, though. MT pre-release review (typically, nothing negative) http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedan/112_0209_saab93/index.html "We sampled early-build 93s on Sweden's wet, narrow two-lanes and were reassured by their characteristic turbo muscle, crisp steering, strong braking, and newly sleek, yet still somewhat quirky exterior. Intentionally lost in the segue to GM undergarments is the older 93's inability to quietly swallow road irregularities, awkward torque steer, cheesy interior bits, and odd proportions; the new sedan is 2.2 in. wider and rides on a 2.8-in.-longer wheelbase." CD review (not bad, even compliments handling) http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp?section_id=39&article_id=1773&page_number=1 RT review (more infornmation and it gets better marks) http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=762&page_number=1 http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=6&article_id=297&page_number=1 Dan wrote: > Motor Trend and Car and Driver I think. > > On 11/22/2003 4:52 PM, KeithG wrote: > >> what publications 'rag' on the handling? all that i have read say that >> it is 'best in class' for fwd cars period. my experience with a test >> drive corroborate this. >> >> keithg >> >> Dan wrote: >> >>> All the reviews I have read about the 9-3 (>=model year 2003), rag on >>> its handling.
