Subject: Job For Over Winter??

Now I've just been having a think about my next project. 900 T16 Wheelbase = 2525mm Front Track = 1420mm Rear Track = 1430mm Scooby Pretza WRX Wheelbase = 2525mm Front Track = 1485.9mm Rear Track = 1480.8mm This suddenly looks stunningly easy to do. 'Borrow' The drivetrain from the Scoob and plant it in a 900. Engine would be a 9000 2.3 lump but mounted backwards. Only tricky bits would be transferring the scoob rear suspension into the 900, getting the 2.3 far enough forwards to get the front diff in line with the front hubs and making an adaptor plate up to mount the 2.3 to the Scoob bell housing. Oh and the radiator might have to go in the back or on the roof (RS200 Intercooler stlyee). I'd probably run a chargecooler ala my current 900 due to space constraints but weld two Lotus units together. I'd also be able to get the 2.3 lump a lot lower down in the bay (dry sump it?) and so get the centre of gravity down a bit, which might help reduce the effect of having the engine further out over the front wheels. Oh and I'd need to be able to find a set of wheels that were available in 4stud and 5stud as it would be 5stud on the back and 4stud on the front LOL I'll have to get a Pretza up on the lift and do some measuring. So who's up for some 2.3, AWD, Classic 900 Lunacy ;-) Matt
