Subject: Re: Where to buy a used SAAB with confidence

Your choice of years crosses the line between the last of the Classics and the first year of NG models. I find it interesting the a dealer sells quite a number of cars this old. AS with any car this old, and especially the first years of the NG models, I would have a trusted, experienced independent Saab technician go over the car first. The first year of any model has some issues with the changes, hopefully these have been fixed in a car this old, but that is why you have it checked. 1993 was the last year of the classic hatchback and four door sedan 1994 was the last year of the classic convertible. 1995/1996 Saabs switched from hydraulic clutches to cable clutches - Saab switch back to hydraulic clutches in a few years The body style also changed. Drive both body styles and see which one you like best. See if you notice the differences and let us know which one you picked.
