I think it's like this: If the doors are unlocked, you close the trunk and then lock the car. Next time everything works fine, trunk can be openend manually. But if the car is already locked and you close the trunk later, then unlock the car, the trunk will not open manually. I don't know if it's a feature or a bug, I can live with it since I know how it works ;-) Nothing of this is mentioned in the manual nor the dlr knows anything about it. But on the other side, my German dlr doesn't really know much about Saab, although it's a Saab dlr. Cheers Nicky 2003 9-3 Arc
