Each auto and > stereo manufacturer uses their own design or even designs. Yes, there is. It's called an ISO plug, and is found on almost any car that uses a DIN or DINx2-sized radio. However, more and more auto manufacturers are moving towards integrated stereo solutions, and this has no standard plugs. Most of them probably have the normal wires, just not plugs, but are integrated into the shape of the dash, and could be connected to the cars software. Kristian
