Popular joke over here: Q: "What's the difference between a BMW and a porcupine ?" A: "With a porcupine, the pricks are on the outside" When Meatball said "I'm sure there are some very considerate, likeable normal BMW drivers out there. Just that I'm yet to meet them", it hit home. I recall one day last year when I ran into a BMW driver who had parked in the Fire Lane because he was obviously too important to have to walk the extra 25 feet required if he parked in a proper space. When I mentioned to him that he was parked in a Fire Lane, his response was "So?". I asked him point blank "What if there was a fire here?". His response "I guess they'll have to push me out of the way". Saab owners have a different reputation. If you drive a Saab in the Northeast of the USA (where they are plentiful) you are considered a geek because you drive a Saab - sort of "what kind of a freak drives a Saab?". Some people know they cost a bit more, so they figure you're freak who also wasted a lot of money on a freak car. In the less Saab populated areas, it seems to be more of "You drive a what?" followed by "are they still in business?".
