Subject: Re: 88 9000, funny noise

My vote is wheeel bearing as well. I've had two go on my '88 9kt, and it was a definite drone, and further, it happened suddenly both times - and I mean suddenly, as in driving fine when I left the house, and after driving 12 miles into town on the expressway, there was a defenite drone when in turns. Have also had CV joint go on the car too - that produces a clicking sound - I was running very low on the fun tickets for close to a year, and put off that job by weekly injections of grease into the torn boot.
