My 86 T16 has been running on mineral for the last 18 years. I have all previous history for the car. Changes were done typically at ~12k miles (this is normal in the UK). I've been changing the oil (I use semi-synth) since 110k miles a little more frequently. Now has 150k miles on engine. I recently did the headgasket, and the bores look like *new*, the camshaft+bearings look pretty damn good, and the chain is just lovely. -- Grunff
