Subject: 9000 2.3SE overheating - maybe

Hi There my 199k mile '91 9000 2.3 (non turbo) is indicating very hot running. The temp gauge goes all the way up to the top of the white, then settles in the small gap under the red. If it hits the red, the fan *then* cuts in, and drops it back a bit. I am not losing any water. I am starting to think this is a temp sender/gauge problem. What does the collective think? Any other ideas? Thanks Julian --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.670 / Virus Database: 432 - Release Date: 27/04/2004
