In the early 60s, they started a line of larger coupes, with bodies by Frua. They built up to a 2.6 litre V8, but sales never reached breakthrough and Glas was bought by BMW in the mid 60s. The cars were restyled as BMW models, and the 2.6 was fitted with BMW's bigger 3.0 litre engine. This continued for a couple of years, until BMW introduced their 'own' cars.
