Subject: 9-3 convertible Test Brakes query



Hi Guys - just bought a 2000 9-3 Convertible and am hooked on Saabs now!

Dumb Question time: Is it normal for my SID to display "Test Brakes" every 
time I start the car? The sales guy said this is normal and pressing the 
brake pedal removes the prompt.

The handbook is vague on this message and doesn't actually state if it is 
normal for it to display routinely. Can any other owners advise that this is 
completely normal?
