Don't get me wrong, I know several decent upstanding citizens who > drive BMW's. Also my experience. The only time you see a BMW in the inner lane is when they cut in just in front of you ahead of the morning queue for turning off a motorway junction. Sometimes, they don't make it and I've seen a brand new BMW with smashed up bonnet on the hard shoulder near the slip road. I'm not envious though, BMWs are nice enough motors, but I have the impression that workshop prices are rather high. This may not affect Grunff since he seems to be hands on. BMWs are also very common around here, probably middle rank company car issue in many cases, that could explain a lot... My 9000 CSE was bought in 1997 from a bank manager; he bought it off the bank and got a BMW as next company car.
