Hi folks, Most of my experience thus far is with classic 900s. And so my fiance's 2001 9-3 is a new frontier for me... although it's still under warranty, so I haven't had much need to work on it yet. But then so I've noticed that in cold weather (seemingly <= 35 F, or about 2 C), a noise can be heard emanating from directly in front of the driver. I would describe the noise as a constant squeak or squeal or chirp, though not nearly as loud as a squealing belt. The noise happens most often and is most intense when braking, leading me to suspect that it is coming from the brake master cylinder or perhaps the ABS pump. However, the noise does also occur sometimes when the brake is not applied. This is, interestingly, when decelerating and never when accelerating or cruising. Any thoughts on this little mystery? Thanks, John
