I may drive round to a local Saab trader and see whether I can extract some extra info from him, though I don't really want to part with any cash for this. :) Kind regards, Mike "Dexter J" <lamealameadingdongnospamlamelame.org> wrote in message news:opsme6q00bngtaownospam.eastlink.ca... > Salutations: > > On Fri, 18 Feb 2005 12:09:16 -0000, Mr Mike Nospam <Mikenospamspam.co.uk> > wrote: > > > On my SAAB the offside rear door won't open. > > > > Here are some symtoms: > > o From outside the handle moves properly, but doesn't open the door. > > > > o From inside the handle moves properly, but doen't open the door, but I > > can hear > > the mechanism towards the rear of the door moving, so some linkages are > > connected. > > > > o The up/down lock button is not properly connected to what it should be > > connected to. > > > > The trickiness is that as I can't open the door, I can't take the inner > > door > > panel off to see what is wrong. > > > > Any suggestions on how to open the door or how to remove the inner door > > panel with the door closed? > > > > Thanks, > > > > Mike > > You know what? > > That may be trickier than it at first sounds.
