hi there here are 2 sites explaining how to fix the gulty column on the SID.... issues are commun between 9-5 and 9-3, I had 2 columns off and used the "iron" method... on the 9-3 you can extract the SID with 2 credit cards that will not damage the the plastic surround. See http://www.saabs.cwc.net/sid_repair.htm and http://www.nospam/main.htm these are olny workaround solutions that may not work...
