OK, so poll time.  Is this guy:
a) really trying to participate in the group, or
b) just dropping in to advertise a commercial sale?

I'm not sure where the line is exactly, but this post is pretty damn
close to it, I think.  A jaded and cynical reader might think, for
instance, that it's really about advertising his eBay auction , rather
than to learn what the value of the book is.
