Subject: "new" 92 9000 T many questions...

Back again. New to us 92 9000 Turbo with 190k miles. Red, mostly in good condition with some minor body issues. Comments on minor problems welcome. I find it is nice for everything to work as it should, even on an old car. I was thinking it would be bigger but cargo wise it is smaller than my C900 Hatchback. Rear seat is roomier, though. Storage area under back seat might hold a couple pieces of thin paper, but that's about it. I have seen a TCS turn off switch. I do not see how to turn off the TCS. Is this something that is on later models or is it an added option? Can I get it for this car? I have heard it limps home when the TCS goes and it is not pretty. I was actually hoping to get a later model w/o TCS but this came up after looking for a long time. Trip computer worked when I picked it up but I pushed either the reset or the info button (while driving) and now it is dead. I read the manual and tried to reset it according to instructons and it is still dead. Suggestions? Handbrake does not work. www.thesaabsite.com says how to adjust it. I used an allen adaptor to a 3/8" ratchet and it won't budge either direction. Brake pads are new and the caliper looks to have been rebuilt (from the standpoint of the piston anyway) as the rubber boot is very clean and new looking. Do I just need a bigger hammer or does the caliper need to be replaced? Is there an adjustment on the cables? Do they stretch with age? Also, wheel does not spin totally freely, but I have never seen a disk brake that did. I was told the front temp sensor needed to be replaced. It is part of the ACC. www.thesaabsite.com shows a picture of it and says it is under the front bumper. I can't find it. There is a dangling plug on the left side near the foglight - was it there? Seat memory does not seem to work (drivers side only tested). Seat rake angle does not seem to work on either side. I found a parts car on www.saabnetwork.com/tsn/classifieds and ordered a new DI cassette along with the rest of the stuff I need from a 93. I am sure it will fit the 92. Where should I store my spare DI cassette? wrap it in that pink anti-static foam and put it with the spare tire? Thanks for any constructive comments! Charles.
