Well, some grooving is normal and acceptable.  Cracks or warps would be
heard and felt as a pulsating.  Also, rotors have a minimum thickness
spec, so a set of calipers would be useful for checking that.

It's one or two screws more than you just did for pads.  No biggie, just
not needed every time.
