My 1993 9000 CSE 2.0 LPT which is usually perfect, has developed a slight farting sound (sorry) that you can only hear under the bonnet (hood). The idle is slightly higher than normal, often starts at 1200 but settles down at 1000 rpm. The car drives normally, no hesitation or lack of performance, but something obviously isn't quite right. I suspect the exhaust line close to the engine, but can't see anything wrong.
