If the computer is not "locked" in anti-theft mode, you can probably have the dealer cut you a key. Otherwise you need to buy a new computer for a price in excess for $1000 last I heard. If the car is locked, you have no choice but to spring for the new computer. The anti-theft system was designed so that no one could produce a scanner that would unlock it (which is often done to other makes of cars). The downside to that is that no one can reprogram the computer - you have to replace it.
