Subject: 98 9-3 Flattens Battery for no apparent reason!
Hi Saab Dudes
My 98 9-3 has an unfortunate habit of flattening its battery for no apparent
reason. I've replaced the battery and checked that all the ancilliary
lighting goes out (glove box, boot etc). The only other thing I could think
of is the interior temperature sensor, which has a small fan fitted to it
and usually stays running long after the car has been locked.
For now, I've disconnected it, but I wondered if anyone knew how long the
thing is supposed to operate for after the car is stopped, why it needs to
run on and if anyone has ever had problems with these devices.
Many Thanks
Steve
