Spent the better part of today in a BRAND NEW 2003 9-3/Auto (had 2,000 miles on the odometer)!! My oservations from my 2002 SE Auto:

Interior: I had to relearn how to enter the car--hip hoiner is possible upon entry. Nosiy Tires--- Pirelli All season P6's. Stereo is less than desireable. Sunroof when retracted is noisy @ low speeds = 35 mph is louder than the 2002 at 55 mph. New tooth-lees key is cool. Seats are mediocre. Visiblilty is good, except for the C-pillar blind spot. No squeaks or rattles like my present 2002 seems to have in this colder weather.

Exterior: It actually kind of grows on you as you drive it. Alarm actually works at distances past 6 feet from the car!! Fit and finish are GREAT !! Gaps are tight!

Power: Needs much more hp.with the auto tranny. With the AC off, it's tolerable, with the AC on it's a big miss. Please SAAB bring on the AERO power version of this car.

Trunk: Decent space, actually closes very easy.

Ride: Have to be careful not to hit/scrape the front chin spoiler entering driveway aprons of local businesses. 55 series 16" tires absorb many bumps--I have reservations on 17" ride quality ?? Interior noise seemed on par with my 2002--maybe due to the awful Pirelli tires??

Engine cooling is a big part of this car due to its aluminum engine. Fans came on with the outside temps @ 24 F after engine shut down. Very quiet fans--just surprised to hear them run as my 2002 fans haven't run all winter on similar drives.

Well, just my .02.
