Thumbs up for 2.0T Posted by don_young [Email] (#815) [Profile/Gallery] (more from don_young) on Wed, 11 Mar 2009 19:41:15 In Reply to: Thanks, Caarma [Profile/Gallery] , Tue, 10 Mar 2009 15:23:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I vote with the current minority. Being a traditionalist, I believe that SAABs should have 4 cylinders or fewer. There is elegance and efficiency in getting more than 100 bhp per liter of displacement. The fact that your 2.0T option has 17" wheels is a real plus. I turned in my OEM Pirellis and mounted Nokian WR snows on the stock 16" wheels and summer performance tires (Nokian Z) on a new set of double bridge 17" wheels -- better handling without the in-town harshness of the Aero suspension, to say nothing of the ubiquitous scraped front air dam. I plan to take on Volvophile's suggestion to reflash the chip in the future, but the stock set-up is plenty fast.
Good luck on your acquisition... whatever it may be.
