My '07 SC would give that message, typically a couple times in relatively short succession, then not for a long time. I'd mention it when in for regular service but they could never find codes. They did try the software fix the last time and adjusted the steering angle sensor. Then the messages came up again twice just a couple days before a scheduled oil change. This time there was a code and they replaced the ESC unit, with less than 100 miles of warranty remaining. We'll see if this fixes things.
