You can use something like Gorilla glue and a piece of duct tape to put a patch in. A plug of carpet for the patch could be cut from an inconspicuous area if needed. Apply glue to the edges of the plug and then apply a piece of duct tape to the back of the carpet to help hold the plug in place.
I assume that this hole is in the carpet, not the carpeted floor mat, so you will have remove some trim to be able to maces the back of the carpet.
